RNL planned and designed a bus maintenance facility that supports its 62 buses, with the potential to expand the facility to accommodate up to 127. It includes an administrative, operations, and maintenance building, bus canopies covering one-third of the fleet and a wash facility. The building’s aesthetic concept echoes Arizona’s canyons with its mix of earthen colors and narrow walls. It’s designed in tilt-up concrete with the lobby framed by “canyon walls” of rust, tans and dark charcoal colors. Interior colors also play off of the desert environment, including cactus greens and a desert flower shades such as lavender, yellow and red.
