METRO Division 13 Bus Operations & Maintenance Facility

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

The first such facility to be commissioned by Metro in more than 20 years, this project is designed to optimize the agency’s bus transit service throughout the Central Los Angeles region. It includes a maintenance facility with 20 service bays for the operation and maintenance of Metro’s growing fleet and employee parking for 382 vehicles. Sustainable design was a key guiding principal for the project, driving building efficiencies, siting and creation of a healthy work environment. Key features include site and building shade structures, natural ventilation, glare and heat gain reduction and photovoltaic panels on the facade. The project is designed to meet a minimum LEED certification of Gold.
