RNL is providing design services on a waterfront extension to the existing Al Raha Beach Hotel, which includes public spaces, two restaurants and 160 additional parking spaces. The extension is organized around a sky lit atrium containing a restaurant. The shape of the building allows views from existing guestrooms and villas to remain as unobstructed as possible. Every new guestroom also has a close-up water view and full-width terrace. The extension is to be completed on an accelerated schedule to more than double the capacity of the existing hotel. Originally part of a design competition, the project is part of a waterfront development in the form of a new peninsula.
