A new center for Health Science programs
Community College of Denver
Facilities Master Planning
RNL worked with the Community College of Denver (CCD) to develop a Building Program Plan for the Boulder Creek Building as part of a larger Neighborhood Master Plan for the College, which is part of the Tri-Institutional Auraria campus in downtown Denver. The Boulder Creek building houses a variety of unrelated programs from several institutions but sits within the area on campus designated as CCD’s neighborhood. The Master Plan resulted in a recommendation to relocate some of these functions in order to convert the building in a dedicated CCD building, housing programs that are currently dispersed across campus and/or at satellite off-campus locations. The vision for the building is to create a new center for Health Science programs on campus while also providing space for key administrative functions, instructional space and a student café associated with the Nutrition program.
The scope of services included assessment of existing conditions, space needs programming, space planning, concept design and cost estimates.
