AP Principal Dick Shiffer has over twenty-five years of planning and design experience and is a Principal in RNL’s Denver and Phoenix offices. Since joining RNL in 1981, he has distinguished himself as the firm’s transportation and church facilities expert with over fifty transportation-related projects and more than thirty church projects to his credit. Key projects include Faith Bible Chapel, Cherry Hills Community Church, and the RTD Elati Light Rail Maintenance Facility. |

Charles E. Boxwell, AIA Director of RNL Los Angeles / Associate Principal Charles Boxwell directs the Los Angeles office of RNL. He has managed the planning, design and construction of many major justice and other institutional projects for the past 23 years, with prison projects totaling more than 15,000 beds and 150 courtrooms. Key projects include City of Fontana Civic Center Master Plan, Park and Main Library, Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility, and Shasta County Juvenile Detention Facility. |

Douglas A. Spuler, AIA, LEED™
AP Principal Doug Spuler brought his talent as a designer and architect to RNL Design in 1994 and is now a Principal of the firm. He leads the church and para-church market for the firm. His extensive portfolio of diverse projects features more than 30 church facilities including performing arts facilities, mixed-use buildings, housing, and complete urban villages. In addition to being a designer, Doug has also served as project principal, project manager, and project architect on more than 75 projects since joining RNL. |

Carl G. Price, AIA, LEED™
AP Principal Carl Price joined RNL in 2004 as a Principal in the firm’s Phoenix office. Bringing over 18 years of experience as Project Manager, Project Architect and Project Designer, Mr. Price specializes in facilities for higher education and related institutional clients. His track record of successful projects for the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Arizona Western College, Northern Arizona University and the Maricopa County Community College District, among many others speaks to his expertise and commitment to this facility type. Key projects with RNL include the Arizona State University Decision Center for the New Arizona. |

Curtis J. Scharfenaker, AIA Principal Curtis Scharfenaker recently joined RNL as a Principal and will be responsible for developing the firm’s Commercial, Mixed-Use, and Master Planning markets both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining RNL, Curtis was with the Jerde Partnership, Inc., where he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Project Manager. While with Jerde, His client list included top developers and industry leaders in the US Market, as well as in Mexico, Europe and Asia. He has experience with a number of project types including destination retail and urban entertainment centers, resort casinos and hotels, urban infill and new town centers, mixed-use developments containing commercial, residential and cultural facilities, and regional master planning. |
