RNL designed this project to expand the county’s existing industrial sit, which houses operations for the Colorado Department of Transportation, Summit Stage, search and rescue and county vehicle maintenance. The expansion incorporates sustainable site and building design strategies to increase operational efficiency and reduce long term costs. Site improvements include on site storm detention, a 10kW photovoltaic array, native vegetation and one-way counterclockwise traffic flow to improve safety and operational efficiency. The storm sewer now collects snow melt and direct runoff to the detention area.
