| The facility is
one of many new police stations funded by the City of Los Angeles’
Proposition Q. The 34,00 s.f building and 230-car parking structure includes
high-tech, flexible office space, an Emergency Operations Center for the
Valley, and booking/temporary holding. Both the architecture and public art of project focus on light and transformation. The architecture features a crystalline entry lobby shaded by a photovoltaic array that transforms light into energy and the art transforms sunbeams into rainbows of spectral light. Designed to achieve LEED™ certification; may achieve a LEED™ Silver rating. |
