FAIA served as Principal in Charge/Lead Designer for UCSD Vaughan Hall.
The project is a four-story, mixed-use building with high bay lab/ workshop
spaces, faculty and graduate student offices, Cal Space Institute computer
labs and offices, classrooms, a photographic studio, video production studio,
and an illustration studio. Designed as an important neighborhood linkage to the existing Scripps Campus, the building spans the service road and climbs the hill to the east while having expansive views of the San Diego coastline and bay on the west side of each floor. |
