Ball Aerospace selected RNL for conceptual design and the Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.) process for a new research and development facility on their Broomfield campus. The facility was built as a developer leaseback to help the building to be financially flexible.

The Ball Aerospace R & D Facility is flexible for a variety of project types and was developed on a modular basis. Its design includes an assembly and test facility involving testing in extreme temperature conditions and requiring unusually heavy handling requirements.
